Overview
Denosyl is an antioxidant which has been shown to increase hepatic Glutathione levels in cats and dogs.
Denosyl's activity goes far beyond just increasing Glutathione levels. It has been shown to protect liver cells from cell death and may be useful in cell repair and healing.
Glutathione, a potent antioxidant, is the liver's main detoxifier that protects hepatic cells from toxins and death.
In one recent study, 45% of dogs and cats with liver problems were shown to have a low hepatic glutathione level.
Denosyl may also be used in other conditions of tissue oxidant injury and RBC fragility caused by certain toxins or drugs which are related to reduced glutathione concentrations.
Denosyl for Cats and Small Dogs is available in 90 mg tablets, and intended for cats or small dogs up to 15 pounds.
For larger dogs, Denosyl is available in:
