Scalibor Protector Band for Dogs provides long-lasting protection against ticks for up to 6 months in an easy-to-use, odorless, water-resistant collar that adjusts to fit any dog's neck.
Contrary to popular belief, ticks in various life stages are found on dogs throughout the year. Routine, year-round use of acaricides on all dogs is the foundation of any successful tick control program.
Using its patented insecticide/acaricide release technology and active ingredient Deltamethrin, Scalibor Protector Bands provides a rapid knock-down effect by distributing Deltamethrin directly onto the skin, spreading it through the skin lipid layer.
Friction releases Deltamethrin steadily over 6 months, killing all blood-feeding stages of ticks, and repelling and preventing further attachment of ticks.
Scalibor Protector Bands also aid in the prevention of flea infestations, control sand flies (carriers of the disease Leshmania), and have an anti-feeding effect on mosquitoes.
Wetting or swimming will not impair or affect collar's effectiveness.

Scalibor Protector Band provides full season protection against:
*Brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus)
*American dog tick (Dermacentor variabilis)
*Deer ticks (Ixodes scapularis and Ixodes pacificus)
*Kills ticks that may carry:
-Lyme disease
-Rocky Mountain spotted fever
-Babesiosis
-Anaplasmosis
-Ehrlichiosis
Directions for Use:
1. Tighten band until two fingers can fit snugly under band. Buckle and check that it is secure.
2. Trim off excess leaving 2 inches beyond the buckle.
3. Wash hands with soap and water. Check fitting every 2-3 weeks - collar shouldn't be to tight or too loose.
Scalibor Protector Band should be applied at least 10-14 days before expected exposure to fleas and ticks.
WARNING:
Do not use on puppies less than 12 weeks old.
Do not use on dogs with skin lesions, or that are hypersensitive to pyrethoids.
Not intended for use on cats.
Do not open protective pouch until ready to use.
Consult a veterinarian before using Scalibor Protector Bands on pregnant or lactating dogs.
